Hi, I’m Sarah - the founder of Abloom Therapy & Wellness based in Ontario. I am a Registered Psychotherapist - RP - with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and I hold the professional designation of Canadian Certified Counsellor - CCC - with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
I spent 23+ years navigating the corporate professional world, building a successful career for myself working as a support to sales executives in the media and advertising industry. This is where I grew up! In that time, I also married, became a mom, and divorced. On this life journey I discovered my most treasured core value - human connection - fueled by a desire to preserve and promote the well-being of others, and to nurture my own well-being in the same ways.
I have dedicated my life’s work to becoming a Registered Psychotherapist and to thrive in my core value. I work with those who are in the midst of significant life transitions but are feeling stuck because they are struggling with - anxiety, depression, abandonment pain, anger, panic, trauma, relationships, self-worth, self-esteem, perfectionism, self-harming, suicidal ideation, ADHD, divorce, parenting, family, & more.
My foundational approach to therapy is in Humanistic, Person-Centered, and Adlerian principles. Through a trauma-informed lens I apply a fluid method when selecting therapy modality types in treatment planning. In my work I gravitate mostly to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also invest time in psychoeducation because I believe that knowledge is power. I will dial in to your needs and reach for therapeutic tools that will help you become unstuck and thrive.

I encourage therapeutic growth by nurturing the inner child, making peace with the inner critic, and reconnecting clients with their authentic sense of self.
